Hunter Freeman – FLW Pro Circuit Angler

Spring can be a very exciting time of year to fish all throughout the country. Northern lakes are beginning to warm up and fish are feeding up for the spawn, where the Southern regions are experiencing everything from spawning fish to post spawn transition. Inside of these transitions is one of the most exciting times of year to have a bait in the water, the shad spawn! Numbers can be flat out flawless, while size is often not an issue. The Salmo Rattlin’ Pop and the Rattlin’ Stick are staples of mine during the spring months throughout all transitions. There’s just something about topwater baits in the springtime that really click.
